McGeorge Celebrates Five Full Years of Safety in 2020

Even amidst challenges from the crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic, McGeorge Contracting Co, Inc. employees continue to put health and safety first. McGeorge celebrated its fifth year of zero lost time incidents at the end of 2020. No employee has had to leave or miss work due to a work-related injury or illness for five consecutive years. This year, it was an achievement for all divisions of McGeorge Contracting Co., Inc., including McGeorge, Cranford, GMQ, and WK.

“A huge congratulations to all the team at McGeorge on reaching five years without any lost time incidents,” said McGeorge HR/Safety Director Brenda Powell. “This is a testament to the whole team’s commitment to maintaining our ‘safety first’ culture,” she said. “The actions we all take on a daily basis to identify and mitigate hazards in our work sites and projects ensures everyone goes home safe and healthy at the end of every day. Keep up the great work!” Although Powell is new to the HR/Safety Director position, she has worked for the company for 34 years.

McGeorge achieved this milestone through a culmination of company, employee, and contractor efforts. We’re focused on identifying leading indicators to prevent, decrease, and remove work-related hazards and unsafe behaviors before they occur. Great work, everyone – and stay safe!
